The secret to great tasting food is by having locally sourced fresh ingredients!

First Fruits Kitchen-Farm to Table

Honey is good for the Soul……..

The key to great tasting food is to use locally sourced products when available. Let me introduce you to my “honey spot”. Literally and figuratively honey spot.

I absolutely love using local honey in my recipes and also eating a teaspoon of local honey per day!

A few facts about eating local honey everyday: One spoonful of honey is enough to keep a person alive for 24 hours, so “preppers” should invest in honey :). The spoon should be wooden or plastic (not metal) so that the full enzymes are absorbed. Honey also improves brain function, we can all use that right. Local honey is effective in relieving allergies. Also, honey does not expire.

I use local fresh honey in many of my favorite recipes such as Baklava, Honey Dijon salad dressing, Vinaigrette dressings, BBQ sauce, and other items like a touch to my balsamic glazes, etc…

In addition to honey, my honey spot has locally sourced fresh vegetables, locally raised beef and pork products, and Amish cheeses. yum! Let me introduce you:

Conveniently located only 4 miles from my kitchen.
